1. Important upgrade note for those installing this software
from a previous version.
You must have Pearl 2000 AVOS fitted. This can be downloaded from our www
site www.avolites.demon.co.uk/software/ramprl.exe. Refer to page 122, section
14.8 of the Pearl 2000 on how to upgrade the AVOS.
2. Extended memory
We recommend fitting extended memory when running this software. Many
functions run faster and more reliably with extended memory. These include
Cached Personalities and Photocopying Memories which include Shapes. If
you have a desk with serial number 786 or above you have Extended
memory, if you have a serial number below 786 you may have Extended
memory, see Appendix 1 at the end of this document for details on how to
find out.
3. Tracking and Tablet Settings
Page 106 in manual
The screen now indicates if Tracking is on, and if the Stage layout on the
tablet is set to Absolute or Nudge.
These are indicated by the letters T A/N above the softkey legends on the
VDU.
T in white indicates tracking is ON
A in White indicates Absolute ON
N in white indicates Nudge is ON
4. Shape Generator
Page 104 in manual
You can alter the way shapes interact with each other and how they are
replayed from the Shape Generator Parameters menu.
You must first record a shape into a memory before you can set its
parameters.
To enter the Parameters menu:
Press Softbutton G [SHAPE GENERATOR].
Press Softbutton G [PLAYBACK PARAMETERS].
Press the SWOP button on the playback you wish to set the parameters on.
You are now presented with 3 options which toggle the current settings. These are
displayed on the LCD screen. Altering any of these settings will select memory
mode 2.
