3. Theutilityimmediatelystartsrebuildingafterthediskisselected.Whendone,the
status of the degraded RAID volume is changed to “Rebuild”.
4. Press<Esc>toexitIntelRapidStorageTechnologyandrebootthesystem.

Start > Programs > Intel Rapid Storage > Intel Rapid Storage Console
orclicktheIntelRapidStorageTechnologytrayicontoloadtheIntelRapidStorage
Managerutility.
6. Fromthe
View
menu,select
Advanced Mode
to display the details of the Intel Rapid
StorageConsole.
7. FromtheVolumesviewoption,selectRAIDvolumetoviewtherebuildingstatus.When
nished,thestatusischangedto“Normal”.
Rebuilding the RAID with a new hard disk
IfanyoftheSATAharddiskdrivesincludedintheRAIDarrayfailed,thesystemdisplaysthe
statusoftheRAIDvolumeas“Degraded”duringPOST.Youmayreplacethediskdriveand
rebuild the RAID array.
TorebuildtheRAIDwithanewharddisk:
1. RemovethefailedSATAharddiskandinstallanewSATAharddiskofthesame
specicationintothesameSATAPort.
Selectadestinationdiskwiththesamesizeastheoriginalharddisk.
2. Reboot the system then follow the steps in section
Rebuilding the RAID with other
non-RAID disk
