2.4.3 Installing a DIMM
Ensure to unplug the power supply before adding or removing DIMMs or other system
components. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to both the motherboard and the
components.
1. Remove the server tray from the server chassis. For more information, see the
Removing the server tray
section.
2. Remove the upper PCIe expansion card brackets from the server tray. For more
information, see the
Removing the upper PCIe expansion card brackets
section.
3. Remove the lower PCIe expansion card brackets from the server tray. For more
information, see the
Removing the lower PCIe expansion card brackets
section.
4. Remove the PCIe switchboard from the server tray. For more information, see the
Removing the PCIe switchboard
section.
5. Lift the air duct to remove it from the server tray.
