This feature has no influence on cable modem performance.
After power on, all report levels are set to OFF by default.
The modem may continue to display messages even though the rep –27
command has already been entered. The messages are shown until the buffer is
cleared.

scanmode
Command Name: scanmode
Short Form: sc
Command Usage: sc <mode >
Command Action: When the mode is set to 0, the CM stops scanning downstream
channels. When this mode is set to 1, the CM performs the scan of the downstream
channels. After typing sc 1, scan mode is enabled but the CM does not start scanning. To
restart the scanning, you must force the modem to try to lock on a certain frequency by
using the tuner command.
EXAMPLE:
