2.6 Expansion slots
The barebone server comes with two pre-installed riser cards to support up to five PCIe
expansion cards.
The illustrations of the system in this section is for reference only, The system layout and
appearance may vary depending on the model, but the installation/removal steps remain
the same.

Riser card 1
Riser card 1 supports up to two PCIe Gen5 expansion cards. Slot 1 will operate in x16 mode
if slot 2 is not occupied. Slot 1 and slot 2 will operate in x8 mode if both slots are occupied.

Riser card 2
Riser card 2 supports up to three PCIe Gen5 expansion cards. Slot 1 will operate in x16 mode
if slot 2 is not occupied. Slot 1 and slot 2 will operate in x8 mode if both slots are occupied.
Slot 3 will always operate in x16 mode.
