Chapter 1: System introduction
11. Power supply unit fan vent. This vent is for the PSU fan that provides ventilation
inside the power supply unit.
12. Expansion slot brackets. Remove the expansion slot bracket when installing an
expansion card.
13. Parallel port (optional). This 25-pin port connects a parallel printer, a scanner, or
other devices.
14. Air vents. These vents allow air ventilation.
DO NOT block the air vents on the chassis. Always provide proper ventilation for your
computer.
15. Serial ports (optional). These 9-pin COM ports are for pointing devices or other serial
devices.
16. Power connector. Plug the power cord to this connector.

10. LAN (RJ-45) ports. These ports allow Gigabit connection to a Local Area Network
(LAN) through a network hub.
