NOTE Notebook Desktop Please use USB 3.0 cable to reach the maximum data transfer rate. USB 2.0 cable is compatible. NOTES • The power LED lights up when the optical drive is switched on. • The activity LED blinks when the optical drive is reading or writing BD, DVD, or CD.

To check if the optical drive is detected using Device Manager: Windows® XP SP3 Windows® Vista / 7 SP1 Windows® 8 Right-click My Computer, then click Properties > Hardware > Device Manager. Click Start, then right-click My Computer. Click Properties > Device Manager. Click + X and then click Device Manager. 04 Safely remove the external optical drive. The external optical drive supports Plug & Play. To safely remove the drive: A.
