3. Push the lock tab to the left to secure the optical drive in place.

4. Connect a power cable from the power supply to the power connector at the back

of the optical drive.

5. Connect the black interface of the IDE ribbon cable to the IDE interface at the

back of the optical drive, matching the red stripe on the cable with Pin 1 on the

IDE interface.

6. Connect the blue interface of the IDE ribbon cable to the primary IDE connector

(Blue connector labelled PRI_IDE) on the motherboard.
