3. Loosen the four (4) screws securing the CPU backplate, and then
remove it as shown.
4. Press the load lever on the CPU socket down with your thumb (A), and
move it to the right until it is released from the retention tab. Lift the
load lever until the load plate is completely lifted (B).
5. Position the CPU above the socket, ensuring that the gold triangle
mark is on the bottom-left corner of the socket, then t the CPU
notches to the socket’s alignment keys (C). Close the load plate,
ensuring that the front edge of the load plate slides under the
retention lock then push down the load lever (D).
6. Apply Thermal Interface Material (TIM) to the CPU before you install
the CPU backplate (E).
