10. Clear RTC RAM (2-pin CLRTC)
ThisheaderallowsyoutocleartheRealTimeClock(RTC)RAMin
CMOS.YoucancleartheCMOSmemoryofdate,andsystemsetup
parametersbyerasingtheCMOSRTCRAMdata.Theonboard
buttoncellbatterypowerstheRAMdatainCMOS,whichinclude
system setup information such as system passwords.

To erase the RTC RAM:
1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Useametalobjectsuchasascrewdrivertoshortthetwopins.
3. PlugthepowercordandturnONthecomputer.
4. Holddownthe<Del>keyduringthebootprocessandenterBIOSsetuptore‑
enter data.
Ifthestepsabovedonothelp,removetheonboardbatteryandshortthetwopinsagain
tocleartheCMOSRTCRAMdata.AfterclearingtheCMOS,reinstallthebattery.

ThisconnectorisforanadditionalSony/PhilipsDigitalInterface
(S/PDIF)port.ConnecttheS/PDIFOutmodulecabletothis
connector,theninstallthemoduletoaslotopeningatthebackof
the system chassis.
