Chapter 1: Product introduction
To erase the RTC RAM:
1. TurnOFFthecomputerandunplugthepowercord.
2. Useametalobjectsuchasascrewdrivertoshortthetwopins.
3. PlugthepowercordandturnONthecomputer.
4. Holddownthe<Del>keyduringthebootprocessandenterBIOS
setup to re-enter data.
Ifthestepsabovedonothelp,removetheonboardbatteryandshortthetwopinsagainto
cleartheCMOSRTCRAMdata.AfterclearingtheCMOS,reinstallthebattery.

This2-pinconnectorisfortheHDDActivityLED.Connect
theHDDActivityLEDcabletothisconnector.TheHDDLED

• Systemwarningspeaker(4-pinSPEAKER)
This4-pinconnectorisforthechassis-mountedsystem
warning speaker. The speaker allows you to hear system
beeps and warnings.
• ATXpowerbutton/soft-offbutton(2-pinPWR_SW)
This connector is for the system power button.
• Resetbutton(2-pinRESET)
This 2-pin connector is for the chassis-mounted
reset button for system reboot without turning off the
system power.

9. Clear RTC RAM (2-pin CLRTC)

cleartheCMOSmemoryofdate,andsystemsetupparametersbyerasingtheCMOS
RTCRAMdata.TheonboardbuttoncellbatterypowerstheRAMdatainCMOS,which
include system setup information such as system passwords.
