Changing Adapter Settings (Windows 2000)
Joining a Domain (Windows 2000)
(2) Right click the network
connection and select
Properties to view installed
protocols and components.
(1) Right-click the Net-
work icon on the desktop
and select Properties.
(3) Click Configure to make “Advanced” driver
settings or make settings to “Power Manage-
ment”. Other settings should not be changed.
(2) Select Network
Identification and click
Properties.
(1) Right-click the My Com-
puter icon on the desktop
and select Properties.
(3) The primary server in the domain will perform
routing functions for your computer. Select Domain
and enter an existing domain you wish to join.
(4) Unfortunately, you will
have to trouble your network
administrator to grant you
access.
(5) After you restart your com-
puter, you should see some
contents through Entire Net-
work.
Viewing Your Network
(6) Clicking on “entire contents” will display
networks which you have installed proto-
cols for. Clicking a network protocol such
as “MS Windows Network” will display all
the servers available under that protocol.
