ROG STRIX X299-E Gaming BIOS Manual
CPU VCCIO Boot Voltage
This item will allow you to set the CPU VCCIO voltage at initial boot up.
Conguration options: [Auto] [0.7000] – [1.8000]
Internal CPU Power Management
The subitems in this menu allow you to set the CPU ratio and features.
Enhanced Intel(R) SpeedStep(tm)
Allows the operating system to dynamically adjust the processor voltage and core
frequency to decrease the average power consumption and decrease average heat
production.
Conguration options: [Enabled] [Disabled]
Turbo Mode
Allows you to enable your processor cores to run faster than the base operating
frequency when it is below power, current, and temperature specication limit.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
The following items appear only when Turbo Mode is set to [Enabled].
Turbo Mode Parameters
Long Duration Package Power Limit
Known as the “power limit 1” and specied in Watts. The default value
will be the TDP (thermal design power). Increasing the value will allow
the Turbo ratio to be maintained for a longer duration under high current
loads.
Conguration options: [Auto] [1] – [4095]
Package Power Time Window
An Intel parameter of “power limit 1” and specied in seconds. The value
indicates the maintained duration for the turbo ratio to exceed TDP
(thermal design power).
Conguration options: [Auto] [1] – [127]
Short Duration Package Power Limit
An Intel parameter known as “power limit 2” and specied in Watts. It is
the second power limit to provide a rapid protection when the package
power exceed power limit 1. The default setting is 1.25 times the power
limit 1. According to Intel, the platform must be capable of supporting the
duration for up to 10 msec when the turbo ratio exceeds the power limit 2.
The ASUS motherboards can support the duration for a longer time.
Conguration options: [Auto] [1] – [4095]
CPU Integrated VR current Limit
This item allows you to set a higher current limit to prevent a frequency or power
throttling when overclocking.
Conguration options: [Auto] [0.125] – [1023.875]
CPU Internal Power Fault Control
CPU Integrated VR Fault Management [Auto]
Disable this item to prevent tripping the FIVR (Fully Integrated Voltage Regulator)
when doing over-voltage. We recommend you to disable this item when overclocking.
Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
