Installing Your ASUS 740DVD
■ Turn off the power to your computer and to your monitor. Unplug the power cord
from the computer.
■ Unplug the VGA monitor cable from your PC.
■ Remove the cover from your computer. (Refer to your PC user’s manual for
specific instructions.)
■ Locate the VMI-B Connector (40-pin male) and VMI-A Connector (26-pin fe-
male) on the ASUS AGP-V2740 3D Multimedia Accelerator. If the AGP-V2740
has already been installed on the system board, refer to your user’s manual to
locate these connectors.
■ Plug the corresponding connectors on the 740DVD into the AGP-V2740 and
push gently and firmly to secure the card for proper connection.
■ Make sure that the VGA card is properly seated and installed in the AGP connector.
■ Replace the cover of your PC and reconnect the power cord.
■ Reconnect all cables and replace the cover.
