Dabei gelten folgende Bedingungen:
 Eingang ist passiv ausgeführt
 Bidirektional durchlässig im
Frequenzbereich von
4 MHz bis ca. 34 MHz
Die Einspeisung und Verteilung des ASTRO Coax-
Signals in das SAT-TV- Netz kann dann über die-
sen Multischalter erfolgen.
Einsatz des ASTRO AMS 508 Mul-
tischalters
Einige Multischalter sind mit zusätzlichen Verstär-
kerstufen ausgestattet (z.B. ASTRO AMS 508).
Diese eventuell eingebaute Verstärkerstufen arbei-
ten nur in Vorwärtsrichtung und müssen vor dem
Einsatz der ASTRO Coax Systeme deaktiviert wer-
den. Dazu sind entsprechende Regler am Mul-
tischalter vorhanden.
Koexistenz SAT- TV, Coax-System
Vor der Installation der ASTRO Coax-Systeme
ist das eingesetzte Material auf passive Rück-
kanaltauglichkeit zu prüfen. Ungeeignete Mul-
tischalter müssen zwingend ausgetauscht
werden.
Die Umgehung von untauglichen Multischaltern
mit Diplexfiltern scheitert im allgemeinen an der
Unterbrechung der LNB-Stromversorgung bzw.
der Signalisierung und kann deshalb nicht emp-
fohlen werden.

The feeding and the distribution of the ASTRO
Coax signal in the satellite TV network can be
done via this Multiswitch.
Using the ASTRO AMS 508 Multiswitch
Some Multiswitches are equipped with additional
amplifiers (for example ASTRO AMS 508). These
possibly implemented amplifiers only work in for-
ward direction and have to be deactivated before
the initial operation of the ASTRO Coax system.
The required control elements can be found at the
Multiswitch.
Coexisting satellite TV, Coax System
Before the installation of the ASTRO Coax
system, all components of the network have to
be tested on the ability of passive return path
applications. Not suitable Multiswitches have
to be replaced.
The bypass of unsuitable Multiswitches with diplex
filter usually fails because of the LNC remote cur-
rent and/or signalling and for these reasons it is not
recommended.
