MiniMerc Speech Generating Device
MiniMerc Speech Generating Device (SGD) is the
dedicated version of our MiniMerc AAC device. It
is the portable device of choice for those seeking
funding through Medicare or other insurance.
MiniMerc SGD has been engineered to conform
to the Medicare guidelines for coverage for
speech generating devices.
Communication
Every MiniMerc SGD comes with Boardmaker with
Speaking Dynamically Pro software from Mayer-
Johnson LLC and ATI’s Functionally Speaking board
sets pre-installed. Choose one of four additional
communication board sets to make up a MiniMerc
SGD bundle. Launch your communication software
and it stays available at all times.
Independence
MiniMerc SGD’s Environmental Control functions
serve as Electronic Aids to Daily Living (EADL).
Users can independently control equipment
remotely using infrared technology, or control
lights and appliances using X-10 commands
(X-10 equipment sold separately).
Dedicated Functionality
Any software option or add-on that you order
with MiniMerc SGD will be pre-installed for you.
This is a dedicated device approved for insurance
funding; you cannot install additional software.
