LightWRITER provides for conversation!
The LightWRITER, from Zygo, has long been an
AAC device industry standard. LightWRITERs are
small, portable, text-to-speech communication aids
engineered for individuals with speech impairments.
Easy to Use and Portable
Perfect for both communication and conversation,
the LightWRITER is simple to use, yet so very
effective—just turn it on and type. Small and
lightweight, it is attractive in any situation.
Two Screens
LightWRITER has one screen facing you and one
facing the person you’re talking to, providing a
natural face-to-face conversation. Listeners are
drawn into the conversation from the moment
you strike the first key, so they can interact
without leaning over your shoulder.
Large, Clear Displays
The large, bright displays can be seen easily by
both the user and the listener(s). Standard 3/8"
(1 cm) high characters on the back-lighted Liquid
Crystal Displays are easy to read at a distance,
both inside and outdoors.
Best Speech Synthesizer and Language Options
With LightWRITER, you can choose a synthesizer
—whether it’s inside, attached, or external—
ranging from the high quality of DECtalk (male,
female, and child voices), to others with a host of
languages other than American-English. Speech
exceptions ability is built in for making special
words sound right.
