Wideband NC vs.
AEC mode
Having the option to turn the AEC off for wideband noise cancellation is particularly
useful when used in a system that has both conferencing capabilities and sound rein-
forcement. For this system, we suggest programming the remote control device to
turn on the AEC on each channel of the EF1210 if the room is being used for a confer-
ence (when the phone or CODEC is connected). At any other time, program the
remote control device to turn on wideband noise cancellation for sound reinforce-
ment.
Splitting zones
Use EF Panel Control Software to calibrate the EF1210. On Calibration Step 5 when
using more than one zone, associate each microphone input channel with either Ref-
erence A or Reference B. If you are using two reference signals (Reference A and
Reference B), Input Channel 1 must be associated with Reference A (AEC A) and
Input Channel 8 must be associated with Reference B (AEC B). The other 6 micro-
phones can be associated with either reference
Command Description Effects
SR16 Set sample rate to 16
kHz.
The normal operating mode is 16
kHz. In this mode, AEC can be
enabled or disabled.
SR48 Set sample rate to 48
kHz.
The wideband mode (48 kHz) is pro-
vided for applications that require
high-fidelity noise cancellation. In
this mode, AEC is disabled.
SR? Request sample rate. Current sample rate is returned to
remote control device.
