Chapter 4 Country Selection for Mini PCI Modem Card

After modem driver installation, you may need to configure countries upon different

telecommunication laws/regulations. Ignore this chapter if your Mini PCI Card does not

support modem functions.

For Windows 98/Me

1. Double-click the Modems icon under Control Panel. Under General tab, highlight

Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR and then click Dialing Properties.

2. Select the country you locate from I am in this country/region list, then click Apply

and OK.

For Windows 2000/XP

1. Double-click the Phone and Modem Options icon under Control Panel. Under Dialing

Rules tab, highlight the location from which you are dialing and then click Edit.

2. Select the country you locate from the Country/region list, then click Apply and OK.
