Inserting the Gigaset PCI Card 54
When inserting the Gigaset PCI Card 54 in your PC you must observe the following safety
instructions:
Then carry out the following steps:
1. Close your PC down and unplug the mains cable.
2. Open your PC’s housing, insert the Gigaset PCI Card 54 and close the housing up
again.
3. Attach the supplied aerial to the Gigaset PCI Card 54.
4. Start your PC so that you can begin installing the software.
5. As the computer powers up, the Hardware Wizard appears. Click on Cancel and
begin the installation (see next section).
!
– After you have closed the PC down, unplug the mains cable also.
– Remember that some components in your PC might still carry a charge
even when disconnected from the mains.
– Do not touch any electrical or electronic components, and hold the
Gigaset PCI Card 54 only by the angle bar or at the outermost edges.
– Follow your PC manufacturer’s safety instructions.
