6 ASCOM teleCARE WP
More time for care
The Ascom teleCARE WP delivers a host of benefi ts to care providers. For
example, staff do not have to go looking for residents when they receive a
call. The system locates the resident and sends a message to the appropriate
staff member(s), helping to minimise stress and save time.
More mobility for the resident – less worries for staff
Thanks to the wireless pendant, residents can move around freely while still
being able to send a call at any time – even if they fall. The position of the
resident is known, saving valuable time. Once nursing staff have been
relieved of the burden of constantly monitoring wandering residents, they
have more time to look after those who really need help. What better way
to ensure an open, friendly and effi cient care atmosphere!
Offering a sense of security
Perhaps the greatest comfort to residents is knowing that somebody is
looking after them – even when they are out of sight. If there is an accident
or if a resident suddenly feels disoriented, she/he knows that help is only a
button-push away. The call will not only reach staff, but also pinpoint
location. Naturally, personal integrity is respected at all times; whereabouts
are only indicated once the call has been made.
Proven care
Making sure calls are sent and received is one thing, but attending to them
is a different matter. With teleCARE WP, staff have to be at the patient’s
side in order to cancel a call. The system registers when and by whom it was
cancelled. Nursing time can also be registered, if necessary.
