7. Alerts

The top bar can also be used to show availability (as in the example below). To enable this,
instead of alert information, the value Login > Enable user availability status needs to be
changed to Yes in the Device Manager (default: No).

7.2.5 Notification
When an alert is received, it may appear on screen as a notification, refer to 11.6
Notifications on page 61.
7.3 Alert Classification
The following can be used to classify alerts:
7.3.1 Priority Level and Color
- Only used for alerts from patient monitoring systems. Each priority level is indicated by
a specific color.
7.3.2 Category Color
- Categories can be used to label alerts with a color, for example to show which patient
group, the alert is coming from.
7.3.3 Alert Type Icons
- Indicates the alert type, for example a nurse call, or a lab result notification.
7.3.1 Priority Level and Color
Alerts from patient monitoring systems are prioritized depending on their priority level, in
the order shown in the following table:
NOTE: A "Code Blue" (crisis) alert is always prioritized as high priority (1), and always
overrides any system warning, or phone call.

IMPORTANT: A "Code Blue" (crisis) alert, or a high priority alert, is
always prioritized as (1).
