5. Calling
5.6 Voicemail
NOTE: This is a system dependent feature.
If the system is connected to a voicemail service, handset users can record and listen to
voicemail messages.
5.6.1 Indication of New Voicemail Messages
New voicemail messages are indicated in the following ways:
• in the:
- status bar
- notification drawer
- charging screen
• on the:
- App view icon in the Alert view
- Phone app icon in the App view
- keypad screen icon in the Phone app.
- 1 key on the Phone app keypad screen.
TIP: The number of waiting voicemail messages is shown on the badges. The number on
the Alert and App view badges also includes missed calls.
The icons and badges indicating voicemail messages disappear after you have listened to
your new voicemail messages.
5.6.2 Listen to Voicemail Messages
Call the voicemail inbox to listen to your voicemail messages:
1 Call the voicemail inbox by using one of the following methods:
• Tap the voicemail message notification in the notification drawer
• Tap and hold 1 on the Phone app keypad screen.
2 Follow the instructions presented by the voicemail service.
TIP: Tap Keypad to open the keypad while in a call.
5.7 Push-to-Talk Group Call
A push-to-talk (PTT) group call provides instant voice connectivity to a group of persons.
When a person in the group wants to talk, the person taps and holds a button to open the
microphone on the handset.
NOTE: The handset cannot receive other calls while in a push-to-talk group call.
• To participate in a PTT session the handset must first receive an invitation, see 5.7.1 Join
a PTT Call Session on page 39.
• The PTT call screen is used to communicate in a PTT session, see 5.7.2 Use the PTT Call
Screen on page 40.
• Incoming PTT session invitations can be rejected, if not configured to be accepted
automatically, see 5.7.3 Reject a PTT Invitation on page 41.
