Setting the exchange
identification code (EIC)
You only need to carry out the following
settings if you are connected to a PBX that
does not wait for the dial tone. You can
program your telephone in such a way that
the delay time is observed automatically,
i.e. there is no need for you to wait for the
dial tone after entering the EIC and you
can carry on dialling straight away.

identification code, e.g. 0
(maximum 6 digits).
To delete an existing EIC, keep
pressing the C-key until the number
on the display disappears.

You hear the audible
acknowledgement tone
Your telephone will now automatically add
a dialling pause after the EIC. It makes no
difference whether you dial manually or use
an abbreviated dialling number. You need
to include the EIC in the one-touch memory
if you wish to obtain an outside line.
