Disabling/enabling room
monitoring
If room monitoring is enabled, you can use
the handset to listen in to the room where
the base station is located.
If you have acquired a set with an answer-
ing machine, this function can also be ini-
tiated from a distance; see the section en-
titled "Answering machine/remote access"
on page 51.
Disabling room monitoring
(default setting):

Room monitoring
Initiating room monitoring
Room monitoring is possible only if the ba-
sic setting "Enable room monitoring" is
activated.
Handset switched to ON

Room monitoring, i.e. the microphone on
the base station, is activated (max. 180 sec-
onds).
The connection indicator on the base sta-
tion flashes during room monitoring.
To end room monitoring, press the P-key
or the Connect key.
