6.11.4 Authentication of user

The authentication of the user is combined with the authentication of a portable part. The only

difference is that in the authentication type message the UPI key is indicated. In this case the user

must input a number (UPI) (see figure

43). This keypad entry is not transmitted over the air, but locally

used by the portable part to calculate the authentication key (K).
