Intercell handover
An intercell handover is a change to a channel of a neighbouring base station connected to the same
radio exchange (see figure
26). It is used when the cordless phone gets out of range of the current
base station. To allow proper handovers, cells of neighbouring base stations should overlap.
Intercell handover is handled by the DLC layer (connection handover).
