cordless phone works like a normal residential cordless phone, so you can also receive calls. To be

reachable in the public area, cordless phones can be combined with a wide area paging function.

DECT CTM application

Cordless Terminal Mobility (CTM) adds mobility to the public fixed telephone network. In CTM

thousands of base stations cover a whole city. A data base in the public network keeps track of the

locations of cordless phones. In this way you can be called in different places with the same phone

number. The mobility function may be restricted to a certain area such as a city. At home, a CTM

cordless phone can work in residential mode with the home base station.
