5.3.1 Base station numbering
Base stations are identified by hexadecimal numbers referred to as base station numbers or base
station identities. A range of eight hexadecimal numbers is assigned to the CLCs (Cell Link Circuit)
of a CLU/CLU-S or SLU when you add the first base stations to it by means of the Cordless System
Manager (CSM) command Base station-Add in the distributor mode. When you add the first base
station to another CLU/CLU-S or SLU the next free eight hexadecimal numbers are assigned to its
CLCs. As a result the base station numbers assigned to a CLU/CLU-S or SLU are dependent on the
order that the first base station was added to it. Which of the eight numbers of the CLCs the base
station gets depends on the CLC it is connected to.
