9. Connect the cables to the new CPU board as described in chapter 18 ‘CPU cabling’ of the
‘Installation instructions’ section in this book.
10. Replace SPU boards ROFNB 157 08/n by SPU-S boards ROFNB 157 16/3.
11. On the SPU boards (ROFNB 157 16/3) remove the SPU board controller PROM (RYSNB 101
20) and place the new revision PROM RYSNB 101 20 (revision R2A or higher).
12. Remove the cables from the SLU boards (ROFNB 157 16/1) and remove the SLU boards.
13. On the SLU boards (ROFNB 157 16/1) remove the SPU board controller PROM (RYSNB 101
20) and place the new revision PROM RYSNB 101 20 (revision R2A or higher).
14. On the SLU boards (ROFNB 157 16/1) also remove the CLU board controller PROM (RYSNB
101 19) and place the new revision PROM RYSNB 101 19 (revision R2A or higher).
15. Re-insert the SLU boards and reconnect the cables.
16. Remove the cables from the CLU-S boards (ROFNB 157 16/2) and remove the CLU-S boards.
17. On the CLU-S board (ROFNB 157 16/2) remove the CLU board controller PROM (RYSNB 101
19) and place the new revision PROM RYSNB 101 19 (revision R2A or higher).
18. Re-insert the CLU-S boards and reconnect the cables.
19. Remove the cables from the CLU boards (ROFNB 157 11 and ROFNB 157 11/2) and remove
the CLU boards.
20. On the CLU boards remove the CLU board controller PROM (RYT/ROFNB 157 11/2) if its revision
level is lower than R2A and place the new PROM RYSNB 101 44/2 (revision R2A or higher).
21. Re-insert the CLU boards and reconnect the cables.
22. Remove the cables from the DTU boards and remove the DTU boards.
23. Remove the DTU firmware PROMs and place the following PROMs:
– RYT/ROFNB 157 03/5 on DTU board 2/ROFNB 157 03
– RYSNB 101 17/10 on DTU-E1 board 2/ROFNB 157 13/6
24. Re-insert the DTU boards and reconnect the cables.
25. Switch on the system.
26. Install the cordless system manager software (LZYNB 201 05/n) and if applicable the cordless
system statistics software (LZYNB 201 06/n).
27. Initialize the DCT1800-GAP system.
28. Execute the command Distributor - Base station - Add to add the base stations according to the
list obtained in point
2.
29. Execute the command System manager - Administrate - Add to add the extension number ranges
as obtained in point
3.
30. Download the GAP base station software provided on diskette LZY/KRCNB 201/2 or LZY/KRCNB
301/3 to all base stations using the command Distributor - Base station - Download - All bases.
31. If any failures are present, reset the system by pressing the reset button on the CPU board.
After the system has been reset no failure messages should be present any more.
