4.3 Use of the Line Termination Unit, LTU - ROFNB 157 25/n
The table below gives an overview of which LTU version should be used in a particular situation. As
can be observed LTU ROFNB 157 25/2 can be used is most cases. LTU ROFNB 157 25/1 should
only be considered as an alternative if the /2 version can not be used due to temperature limitations,
see section 4, ’Configuration directions’, paragraph ’Modular cabinet temperature limitations’, or if the
/2 version does not satisfy type approval requirements in countries outside the EC and EFTA.
ROFNB 157 25/1 and ROFNB 157 25/2 can not be used together in one system.

LTU ROFNB 157 25/2 is not nationally type approved for use of the ’pulse dialling’ and ’register recall’
functions.
4.4 Upgrading a DCT1800-A to DCT1800-GAP R2A system
When updating a DCT1800-A system to a DCT1800-GAP R2A system all except the following system
components can be reused:
• Central cabinet BFLNB 101 05/n and related products such as cables and power supply.
• Cordless phone DPANB 201 0x/3
• CPU board 2/ROFNB 157 06
• CPU firmware RYT/ROFNB 157 06/2
• SPU board ROFNB 157 08/n
• DTU-E1 CAS firmware set NTM/RYSNB 101 17/1
• DTU CAS firmware RYT/ROFNB 157 03/2
• Cordless system manager software LZYNB 201 01
• Cordless system statistics software LZYNB 201 02
