4. Switch on system.
5. After LED 6 has turned off, start up cordless system manager.
6. If spare CPU has been initialized before, it will become operational with wrong EEPROM data.
Download the original system data from PC to EEPROM using the File-System Restore command.
7. If the spare CPU is new, CSM will come up with the ‘Initialization’ screen and then the ’country
selection’ screen. Now you can download the backed-up EEPROM data.
5.4 Replacing same type of base station (Distributor mode)
• If the state of the peripheral on the system board is MFG:
– Disconnect base station.
– Connect new base station.
– Execute the Base Station-Reset command.
• If the state of the peripheral on the system board is AVE and setting base station free of traffic:
– Execute the Base Station-Delete command.
– Write down delay value shown on screen.
– Wait till message ‘Base station deleted’ appears (now free from traffic).
– Replace base station.
– Execute the Base Station-Add command with original delay value.
• If the state of the peripheral on the system board is AVE, without setting base station free of traffic:
– Disconnect old base: existing calls will do a forced handover.
– Connect new base : if quick, the base will become AVE.
: if slow, execute the Base station-Reset command.
5.5 Replacing a KRCNB 201 03/n (CORE) by a BS340 base station
If the base station is powered by an AC-adapter you must first check the voltage on the screw/slide
connector of the KRCNB201 03/n. It must be more than 21 Vdc. If not, shorten the AC-adapter powering
cable and move the mains socket nearer to the base station.
Note:
BS340 can not be mounted with the antennas pointing downwards as the mounting bracket does not
support it
Procedure
1. Disconnect base station.
2. If a screw/slide connector is used, replace it by the modular jack.
3. Connect the BS340.
4. Execute in the distributor mode the Base station-Reset command.
