Note2:
Activating the service display reduces the normal functioning of the cordless phone. It is therefore
recommended only to use this facility in exceptional cases, e.g. when service requires such.
3.7.1 Activating service display mode
1. Switch off cordless phone.
2. Switch on again with special code by pressing 2+8+On/Mute simultaneously for more than 1
second.
A ‘LinkInfo’ menu can then be accessed via the Info - DCA Service menu. This menu cannot be
accessed after a normal switch-on.
3. Access Info - DCA Service menu.
4. Access Linkinfo menu.
Note:
It is also possible to access the DCA Service menu when the phone is ‘off-hook’ ie during a call.
The DCA-Service menu has two options available to display different types of information.
3.7.2 Explanation of service displays
Data is always displayed in hexadecimal numbers. The base station number relates to the physical
connection in the radio exchange. Refer to the section ‘System description’, chapter ‘Numbering
conventions’ in this manual to find this relation.
Note:
A cordless phone is always blind for the two adjacent time slots. For example, a cordless phone is
locked on a base station on time slot 5. If it approaches a base station that has only one active channel
(traffic or beacon) on time slot 4 or time slot 6, the cordless phone will not see that base station. The
display remains unchanged until the current channel or the channel of the second base station
changes. Consider this when using the menus below.
