1. Ensure that the jumpers on the DTU board have been set in the twisted pair position (see chapter
14).
2. Connect the plug of the shorter of the two DTU twisted pair cables (REX-CAB9007 (TSRNB 101
49)) to the lower connector of the left most DTU as shown in figure
96.
3. Connect the plug of the longer of the two DTU twisted pair cables (REX-CAB9007 (TSRNB 101
49)) to the upper connector of the left most DTU.
4. Screw the shielding clamp of the shorter of the two DTU twisted pair cables to the leftmost free
position on the ground strip using two M3 x 10 torx 10 screws delivered with the modular cabinet.
5. Screw the shielding clamp of the longer of the two DTU twisted pair cables to the next leftmost
free position on the ground strip.
6. Connect the other end of the cables to the PBX either directly or via a Main Distribution Frame
(MDF). If connected directly, ensure that the cable clamps at the PBX side are attached to a
ground strip. If connected to an MDF, the connectors must be cut off.
