Chapter 24 DTU cabling
24.1 Introduction
This chapter describes the installation of the cabling between the DTU(s) and the PBX. Paragraph
24.2 describes the use of coaxial cables and paragraph 24.3 describes the use of twisted pair cables.
24.2 Installation using coaxial cables REX-CAB9010 (TSRNB 101 12)
Connecting the DTUs to the MCCB
1. Ensure that the jumpers on the DTU board have been set in the coax position (see chapter 14).
2. Start at the leftmost DTU. Connect the lower coaxial DTC connector (see fig 93) to DTC1 of the
DTC-IN connectors on the MCCB, using a DTU/MCCB cable REX-CAB9015 (TSRNB 101 37).
3. Of the same DTU, connect the upper coaxial DTC connector to DTC2 of the DTC-IN connectors
on the MCCB.
4. Connect other DTUs (if present) in the same way to DTC3/DTC4 and DTC5/DTC6 of DTC-IN.
