Base station power supplied to a maximum of 3 CLUs/CLU-Ss/SLUs via the backplane and 5
CLUs/CLU-Ss/SLUs powered via a separate 48 V power supply
Figure 78 gives a schematic diagram of this configuration. Figure 79 gives the cable diagram of this
configuration.

1. Disconnect the power cable (TRENB 101 01) from the modular cabinet and connect the battery
power unit to the modular cabinet using power cable TRE 990 113/850 as shown in figure
79.
2. Connect power cable TRENB 101 01 to the PW-EXT connector on the MCCB. see figure 79 for
the polarity.
3. Connect the power supply at the other end of the cable.
Note:
There are two sets of PW1, PW2 and PW3 terminals; one for backplane powering and one for external
powering.
WARNING
When using the PBX power supply, make sure that the capacity of the
supply is sufficient to power both the PBX and the modular cabinet.
