20.2.2 Modular cabinet powered by battery power unit
Base station power supplied to a maximum of 3 CLUs/CLU-Ss/SLUs via the backplane
Figure 74 gives a schematic diagram of this configuration. Figure 75 gives the cable diagram of this
configuration.
Fig. 74 Schematic diagram of powering the modular cabinet and 3 CLUs/CLU-Ss/SLUs
by a battery power unit
1. Disconnect the power cable (TRENB 101 01) from the modular cabinet and connect the battery
power unit to the modular cabinet using power cable TRE 990 113/850 as shown in figure
75.
2. Remove the cable TRENB 101 03 from connection X112 and X113 on the backplane.
3. Remove cable TRENB 101 05 from connector X102 on the backplane, remove the dummy plug
from the connector and connect the cable to connectors X112 and X113. The red wire must be
connected to connector X112 on the backplane (see figure
75).
4. Connect cable TRENB 101 03 to the piggy-back faston of cable TRENB 101 05 on the MCCB.
Note:
There are two sets of PW1, PW2 and PW3 terminals; one for backplane powering and one for external
powering.
