18.5 Installation
18.5.1 Required for installation
BS370 deliveries
The BS370 is delivered as follows:
•BS370
• 2 antennas (with sealing rings)
• Instruction to place the antennas
• Mounting bracket
• 2 screws with wall plugs
Accessories (to be ordered separately)
• Required: local power adapter (BMLNB 101 09/n).
• Optional: directional single antennas (NTM/KRENB 101 118/1). Can be used for communication
with cordless phones (2 required per base station). Can also be used as extra antenna to
communicate with the host base station (maximum distance between BS370 and host base station
is 1000 m).
• Optional: omni-directional single antennas (NTM/KRENB 101 119/1). Can be used for
communication with cordless phones (2 required per base station). Can also be used as extra
antenna to communicate with the host base station (maximum distance between BS370 and host
base station is 600 m).
• Optional: directional dual antenna (NTM/KRENB 101 121/1). Can be used for communication
with cordless phones (1 required per base station). Because this set consists of 2 antennas in
one housing, it cannot be used as extra antenna to communicate with the host base station.
• Optional: brand label (SVANB 101 131/n).
• Optional: strap or flexible metal band for pole or beam mounting (to be purchased locally).
Required tools during installation
• PC with Base Station Manager software and RS232 cable with level shifter (NTM/CXCNB 110
01/1D).
18.5.2 Overview of the installation steps
Installation comprises the following steps:
1. Planning the system configuration (18.5.3).
2. Placing and connecting the antennas (18.5.4).
3. Configuring the BS370 with the Base Station Manager (18.5.5).
4. Fixing the mounting bracket to a wall, ceiling or pole/beam (paragraph 18.5.6 to 18.5.8).
5. Sticking the brand label on the BS370 (18.5.9).
6. Connecting the power cable (18.5.10).
7. Mounting the base station (18.5.11).
