Same as DTU-E1 but is operating on 1.544 Mbit/s. For further specifications refer to Chapter 14.

14.1 General
The DTU-E1 provides 60 voice channels with the PBX via two 2 Mbit/s links. The card may be used
when connected to an Ericsson MD110, Ascotel I5 or higher, Nortel Networks PBXs; Meridian 1 or
Succession 1000M, or EADS Telecom PBXs; M650I/M6540 IP PBX and NeXspan L/S/C/50.
Maintenance
The DTU-E1 comprises the following field-exchangeable parts (see figure 33):
When connected to MD110, Meridian 1, or Succession 1000M.
Two PROMs, DTU-E1 CAS+ firmware. The two PROMs are delivered as a separate item with
product no. REX-SW0003 (NTM/RYSNB 101 17/10).
When connected to Ascotel or EADS Telecom PBXs; M650I/M6540 IP PBX and NeXspan
L/S/C/50.
Two PROMs, DTU-E1 CCS firmware set. The two PROMs are s delivered as a separate item
with product no. REX-SW0006 (NTM/RYSNB 101 17/3.
14.2 Board description
The DTU-E1 board contains two identical Digital Trunk Circuits (DTC1 and DTC2), each with their
own identical connectors and LEDs.
Jumpers
By means of jumpers, the cable type between the DTU and the PBX can be selected: coaxial pairs
or twisted pairs. Set the jumpers for coaxial cables as shown in figure
32. For the location refer to
figure 33.
Connectors
The DTU-E1 board has 4 connectors at the front. Two for each DTC. One is for coax cable and one
for twisted pair connection to the PBX.
Note:
The default jumper setting is for coax but to use twisted pair cables the jumpers must be placed in the
twisted pair position (120 Ω).
