Inserting batteries
1. Interconnect the upper two batteries using cable TRE 990 119/200 as shown in figure 19 and
slide them into the cabinet as indicated.
2. Interconnect the lower two batteries using cable TRE 990 119/200 as shown in figure 19 and
slide them into the cabinet.
Cabling
See figure 19.
1. Put the circuit breaker in the OFF (lower) position.
2. Connect the upper two batteries with the lower two batteries with cable TRE 990 119/200.
3. Connect the red cable, coming from the circuit breaker, to the positive terminal of the right-lower
battery.
4. Connect the grey cable, coming from the circuit breaker, to the negative terminal of the upper-
right battery.
5. Connect cable TRE 990 113/850 to connector C of the PSU.
6. When feeding two modular cabinets by one battery power unit, connect the second TRE 990
113/850 cable to connector D of the PSU.
Note:
The other side(s) of the TRE 990 113/850 cable(s) must be connected to the modular cabinet(s) as
described in chapter
20.
7. Connect cable TRE 990 117/900, at the bottom of the cabinet, to connector A on the PSU.
8. In all European countries except U.K. and Cyprus connect mains power cord REX-CAB9016
(RPM 945 102) to the mains input of the PSU.
9. In the U.K. and Cyprus connect mains power cord REX-CAB9018 (RPMNB 101 02) to the mains
input of the PSU.
Power failure alarm – make contact
If your alarm device needs a make contact, make the following connections.
1. Connect cable TRE 990 112/3000 to connector B of the PSU (see figure 19).
2. Connect the other side of the cable to the alarm device.
Power failure alarm 48 V output
It is also possible to make a 48 V alarm output (see figure 20). If your alarm device needs 48 V alarm
voltage, make the following connections.
1. Connect cable TRE 990 111/400 to connector B of the PSU.
2. Connect the other side of the cable to connector I of the battery cabinet.
3. Connect cable TRE 990 112/30000 to the free connector H of the battery cabinet.
4. Connect the other side of the cable to the alarm device.
An alarm will be raised if the PSU fails and the circuit breaker is on and the batteries are charged.
