After installation the system must be tested with the cordless phones. To avoid flat batteries, charge
the batteries of the cordless phones as first thing of installation.
3.6 Switching on/off
Single cabinet configuration with battery power unit
• Switch on; first switch on the circuit breaker of the battery power unit, then switch on the cabinet.
Multi cabinet configuration with battery power unit
• Switch on; first switch on the circuit breaker of the battery power unit, then switch on the other
cabinets except cabinet 1 and finally switch on cabinet 1.
• Switch off; first switch off cabinet 1, then the other cabinets and finally switch off the circuit breaker
of the battery power unit.
Note:
Simultaneous switching on of both cabinets will result in erroneous system start-up.
Multi cabinet configuration with other powering options
• Switch on; first switch on all cabinets except cabinet 1 and finally switch on cabinet 1.
• Switch off; first switch off cabinet 1 and then switch off the other cabinets.
Base stations powered by external source
Base stations can be switched on prior to the cabinet or vice versa.
Printer
When the radio exchange is reset or switched on, always press the on-line button of the printer at
least twice, so that the printer is on-line. Reason for this is that the radio exchange will only detect a
printer if a change from on-line to off-line state is received.
3.7 Labels
With each cabinet a label sheet is delivered, containing labels of all system board names, cabinet
numbers, board positions and cable positions.
