Configuring Switch Using the Web or CLI

Click Security – 802.1x, Port Configuration. Select the authentication mode from the drop-down box and
click Apply.

This example sets the authentication mode to enable 802.1x on port 2, and allows up to ten clients to
connect to this port.

6.6.4 Displaying 802.1x Statistics
This switch can display statistics for dot1x protocol exchanges for any port.
The following table lists the parameters and descriptions for the 802.1x statistical values
Parameter Description
Rx EXPOL Start The number of EAPOL Start frames that have been received by this
Authenticator.
Rx EAPOL Logoff The number of EAPOL Logoff frames that have been received by this
Authenticator.
Rx EAPOL Invalid The number of EAPOL frames that have been received by this Authenticator in
which the frame type is not recognized.
Rx EAPOL Total The number of valid EAPOL frames of any type that have been received by this
Authenticator.
Rx EAP Resp/Id The number of EAP Resp/Id frames that have been received by this
Authenticator.
Rx EAP Resp/Oth The number of valid EAP Response frames (other than Resp/Id frames) that
have been received by this Authenticator.
Rx EAP LenError The number of EAPOL frames that have been received by this Authenticator in
