Installing the EN/SC Adapters
This chapter provides step-by-step instructions for installing Asante
EN/SC and Mini EN/SC adapters and Asante EtherTalk Installer.
Please
make sure you have prepared for the installation by complet-
ing each step described in this chapter.
The EN/SC adapter can be the only SCSI device you connect to the
Macintosh or it can be one of several devices in a SCSI daisy-chain.
The installation procedure for both configurations is described in
this chapter.
To install
the EN/SC adapter, you need to perform the following oper-
ations:
• Connect the EN/SC adapter to the Macintosh.
Connect the EN/SC to the network cable.
• Connect power to EN/Se.
•
Install the EtherTalk software.
Restart.
• Verify installation by accessing network services.
