5.2.4.3 Editing Notes
Three tools are available for editing notes:
Pencil Enables you to draw notes onto the pianoroll for the selected instrument, as
well as to change the notes length.
Accessible by a click on the corresponding button in editing mode, and by
the “Draw/Resize” menu when you right click (Windows) or [Ctrl]+click
(Mac) on the piano roll zone.
Select Allows to select one or more notes and to move them on the pianoroll.
Accessible by a click on the corresponding button in editing mode, and by
the “Select/Move” menu while the right clicking (Windows) or [Ctrl]+click
(Mac) on the piano roll zone.
Eraser Erases notes from the selected instrument on the pianoroll.
Accessible by a click on the corresponding button in editing mode, and by
the “Delete” menu while right clicking (Windows) or [Ctrl]+click (Mac) on
the piano roll.
Just a reminder: once the notes have been inserted, they can be quantized. The
quantization menu is accessible by clicking the button.
The applied quantization depends on the selected resolution value: 1/4 Note, 1/8 Note T,
etc.
