CLEAN GLASS. Thoroughly clean window, using a razor blade if necessary. Artscape ﬁlms will adhere to a clean smooth glass or

plexiglass surface. The ﬁlm will not adhere to frosted, textured glass, walls or other window ﬁlms.

MEASURE WINDOW  TRIM FILM. It is necessary that a ⁄” gap exists between the ﬁlm and the window frame (inside the

gasket). Mark and trim directly on the ﬁlm while on paper backing using a straight edge and a sharp utility knife. For odd shaped

windows make a paper pattern then trace and cut.

WET GLASS. Add a couple drops of liquid soap to a spray bottle with warm water and saturate window. Applying generous

amounts of the soapy solution will make the installation process easier & more successful. Take care to not get the paper backing

wet while on the ﬁlm.

REMOVE BACKING. Remove ﬁlm from the paper backing starting in the corner. Protect the ﬁlm from any debris. If ﬁlm comes in

contact with itself, carefully separate.

APPLY FILM. Place the shiny side of the ﬁlm that was facing the paper backing onto the well saturated glass and position into

place. Do not use any adhesives when applying, the ﬁlm will remain on the glass until removed. Do not allow the ﬁlm to touch the

window frame or gasket.

SQUEEGEE. Spray the outside of the ﬁlm with same soapy water mixture. Starting from the center, use a squeegee to move out

all air bubbles and water. If any bubbles remain, rub out to the nearest edge with a paper towel. When ﬁnished installing, clean up

any remaining water with a paper towel or soft cloth.

Additional notes:

◊ To assure the product adheres to window, we recommend the outside temperature be above 55ºF for the application process.

◊ Artscape ﬁlms will tile together when factory edges are matched top to bottom or side to side. Each sheet is one full repeat. During

application, squeegee towards the seam.

◊ Not recommended for use in light ﬁxtures or near any artiﬁcial heat source.

◊ Film can be cleaned using any mild household window cleaner.

◊ This product is intended for decorative purposes and to provide privacy. As with all color pigments it may, in time, fade.

◊ Some window manufacturers’ warranties are void when window ﬁlm is applied. Window ﬁlm does not break glass. However, it can reveal

or accelerate an inherent defect that is in the glass. Occurrences of breakage are rare.

WARNING: Please keep all plastic ﬁlms away from young children.
