3.6.6. Managing Links in Batch
To create a sequence of commands and execute Link functions in a batch process, follow
these steps:
1. Open Adobe Acrobat.
2. From the menu bar, go to ‘Plug-ins> ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional >
Productivity > Batch Processing > Create/Edit Sequence’ to open the Create/Edit
Sequence dialog.
3. Click “New Sequence”. You will now be taken to the Edit Sequence dialog.
4. Type in a meaningful name for the new sequence.
5. From the list of commands found under ‘ARTS PDF Linker’, choose the Link
command you wish to perform. Click “Add” to add it to the sequence.
Note: You can add more than one function to a single batch sequence – for instance, you
could create a batch sequence that deletes all the bad actions before generating an All
Links Report.
6. Click “Edit” to open up the Link function’s dialog. Once you have supplied the
details to the function, click “OK”.
7. Click “OK” to accept the changes and return to the Create/Edit Sequence dialog.
8. Select the sequence you have just created and click “Run Sequence”. You will
now be taken to the Execute Sequence dialog.
9. For ‘Source Folder’, select the folder of files to run the sequence.
10. For ‘Output Folder’, select the output location of the processed files.
11. Set any additional options you wish to perform and then click “OK” to begin
processing the files.
Note: Acrobat’s Batch Processing does not allow you to perform other functions in Acrobat whilst
it is open.
3.6.7. Stamping in Batch
To create a sequence of commands and execute a Stamp command in a batch process,
follow these steps:
1. Open Adobe Acrobat.
2. From the menu bar, go to ‘Plug-ins> ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional >
Productivity > Batch Processing > Create/Edit Sequence’ to open the Create/Edit
Sequence dialog.
3. Click “New Sequence”. You will now be taken to the Edit Sequence dialog.
4. Type in a meaningful name for the new sequence.
5. From the list of commands choose the Stamp Document command found under
‘ARTS PDF Stamper Commands’. Click “Add” to add it to the sequence.
6. Click “Edit” to open up the Stamp function’s dialog. Once you have supplied the
details to the function, click “OK”.
7. Click “OK” to accept the changes and return to the Create/Edit Sequence dialog.
