ARTS PDF Aerialist User Guide
Links
Example 2:
- URI link in the document is “../arts_pdf_search.asp”
- Base URL is http://www.artspdf.com/pdfsearch
- Convert URI web links option changed to ->
http://www.artspdf.com/pdfsearch/../arts_pdf_search.asp
Note: A link to an absolute link will not be altered, i.e http://www.planetpdf.com
Would not become http://www.artspdf.com/http://www.planetpdf.com
If ‘Convert open file links and bookmarks to web links’ option is selected,
then:
This function will convert all GOToR and Launch (open file) links and
bookmarks to web links irrespective of the file format. GoToR links will
include the page number parameter in the URL.
Example:
- GoToR link to Page 5 of ‘myFile.pdf’
- This would be converted to:
http://www.artspdf.com/myFile.pdf#page=5
- With named destinations:
http://www.artspdf.com/myFile.pdf#name=destination
This feature is particularly useful for publishing documents that contain relative file
links. Traditionally, browsers that do not support the Acrobat/Reader plug-in will not
be able to navigate between documents, as Acrobat will expect the target file on the
user’s local hard drive rather than the server location. This feature will eliminate this
common problem.
