SETTINGS DESCRIPTION
TV Type
Indicates how the style of television connected to the product was
set (16:9 or 4:3) and the preferred content control method (for
example, Letterbox, pan and scan, undistorted)
16:9 designates that a widescreen television is connected to
the
set-top.
4:3 LETTERBOX designates that a standard screen
television is connected to the VMS set-top and that
widescreen programs should be scaled to fit the screen with
black bars above and below the picture.
4:3 PAN SCAN designates that a standard screen television
is connected to the VMS set-top and that widescreen
programs should be cropped so that the picture fills the entire
screen.
Output Type
Allows you to specify the video output format of the VMS set-top for
all content (when the 4:3 override setting is OFF) or for all 480p,
720p, and 1080i content (when the 4:3 override is used).
Possible options:
1080p60High-Definition 1080p, 60 fps format (1920 x
1080 pixels).
1080i — (Default option) High-Definition 1080i format (1920
x 1080 pixels).
720pHigh-Definition 720p format (1280 x 720 pixels)
480pEnhanced-Definition 480p format (720 x 480 pixels).
480iStandard-Definition 480i format (720 x 480 pixels).
1080p24 Passthrough
Enabled
Turns ON or OFF the passthrough of 1080p24 content
directly to the TV.
Closed Caption Enabled-
Turns closed captions ON or OFF. The front panel
display indicates the status of the closed captions.
Possible options: Yes or No (default)
CC Analog Service Selection Sets the analog service used for closed captions:
CC1 (default), CC2, CC3, CC4, T1, T2, T3, or T4
CC Digital Service Selection Sets the digital service used for closed captions:
D1 PRIMARY LANGUAGE (default)
D2 SECONDARY LANGUAGE
D3, D4, D5, or D6
