This table is an overview of ARRICAM ground glasses, Frameglow masks, aperture format masks and the corresponding
items for the ARRIFLEX 435/535 cameras. A complete list of all ARRICAM and ARRIFLEX ground glasses and masks
with dimensions can be found in the ARRI Format Guide.
There are currently two types of ground glasses and corresponding masks for the ARRICAM cameras: Normal 35
(Academy) and Super 35 (ANSI). Note that ARRIFLEX cameras also have Super 35 (DIN) type ground glasses and
corresponding masks. Those are not as wide as the Super 35 (ANSI) format to make space for the ARRIFLEX time-
code. When using Super 35 (ANSI) ground glasses and corresponding masks with an ARRIFLEX camera, the time-
code cannot be used.
There are no aperture format masks when shooting with a 3 perforation movement. The cut out in the film gate
defines the image size. The cut out in the film gate defines the image size (13.9 x 24.9 mm).
