4. First Aid Measures
Inhalation: If symptoms of exposure develop, remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Skin Contact: Wash with plenty of water and soap. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical attention. Take off
contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with large quantities of water for at least 15 minutes, holding the eyelids apart.
If eye irritation occurs or persists seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless directed to by a doctor or physician. If the victim is fully conscious, have
them rinse their mouth with water. Get medical assistance by calling a doctor or poison center. Never give anything
by mouth to a person who is unconscious or drowsy.
Most Important Symptoms: May cause mild skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. Inhalation of mists may
mild cause respiratory irritation. Ingestion causes gastrointestinal irritation.
Indication of Immediate Medical Attention/Special Treatment: Immediate medical attention should not be
required.
5. Firefighting Measures
Suitable (and Unsuitable) Extinguishing Media: Use any media that is suitable for the surrounding fire. Cool fire
exposed containers with water.
Specific Hazards Arising From the Chemical: Closed containers may rupture if exposed to extreme heat. May
release oxides of carbon under fire conditions.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Firefighters should wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus
and full protective clothing for fires in areas where chemicals are used or stored.
6: Accidental Release Measures
Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment, and Emergency Procedures: Evacuate spill area and keep
unprotected personnel away. Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment as described in Section 8.
Environmental Precautions: Report spill as required by local and national regulations. Prevent entry in storm
sewers and waterways.
